Annually, Measure C funds 14 additional staff positions at the Hayward Police Department, including three patrol officers, a police lieutenant, a crime analyst, a fingerprint analyst, plus seven communications operators and one communications supervisor in the City’s 9-1-1 Dispatch Center.

Regional Fire Training CenterHayward Fire Training Center

Developed partnership with Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, the new Fire Training Center opened in June 2023. It consists of classrooms, offices, a training tower and other facilities for practicing urban search and rescue and emergency response, and educating and producing our next generation of firefighter-paramedics.
