Art Galleries

Hayward is home to a thriving community art scene. Stop by the John O'Lague Galleria at City Hall to view the latest exhibition of Hayward artists, or visit one of the city's many independent galleries.
Heritage Plaza

The new Heritage Plaza is and will be home to an increasing array of interpretive signs and art pieces speaking to Hayward’s diverse cultures and cultural histories from the Muwekma Ohlone through the World War II experience of interned Japanese-Americans to today.
Haywards Mural

Through partnerships between artists, business owners, schools, and volunteers, the City's award-winning Mural Program has revitalized community art and reduced graffiti and blight in Downtown Hayward. Take a complementary tour of Hayward's murals to appreciate the art in person and interact with talented local artists.
Parks & Recreation

With more than 3,000 acres of parks and open space featuring 20 miles of running and hiking trails, the City of Hayward is filled with outdoor recreation opportunities. Look deeper and you'll find the state's oldest Japanese garden, a championship golf course and breathtaking vistas from the hills to the shoreline.

Find something fresh in Downtown Hayward! The Hayward Farmers Market is open every Saturday, year-round, rain or shine, from 9am to 1pm.
