The City of Hayward annual recruitment period usually begins in March and ends in late July. Check back for details about the 2027 recruitment iin March 2027. 

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for appointment to any commission, a person shall be a resident of the incorporated area of the City of Hayward.  And, pursuant to passage of Measure OO in November 2020, appointment to commissions is open to all Hayward residents, regardless of whether they are registered or eligible to be registered to vote.
