Annual Report | 2022

Dear Residents,

Most every organization has a mission, a vision statement of what accomplishing the mission looks like, and a strategic plan for getting there. Your Hayward city government is no different.

At the City of Hayward, our strategic plan is called the Strategic Roadmap. It was developed and first adopted by the City Council in January 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we dipped back in and updated the plan to incorporate new needs and challenges.

Annual Report | 2021

Dear Residents,

Mural Art Program History

About Us: Mission/History

The City’s Mural Art Program was established in 2009 to address the issue of escalating graffiti and vandalism and in support of the City Council’s Safe, Clean and Green community priorities. The idea behind the program was to deter graffiti by installing beautiful mural artwork throughout the city on commercial buildings, schools, utility boxes, and overpasses.
