City Hall to You—Bringing local government to your neighborhood

Over the next six weeks, the City of Hayward will bring local government to the neighborhoods through a special set of Thursday virtual meetings and Saturday in-person drop-by events to provide updates on new initiatives and receive feedback on City programs, policies and services.

During this new six-week project called City Hall to You, City staff will provide brief updates on Hayward COVID-19 response and trends; new public safety initiatives prioritizing new models of mental-health crisis response; new housing access and homelessness response strategies; new approaches to addressing blight and other quality of life issues, and much more.

Another new initiative that will be presented is a community-based participatory budgeting project called Hayward People's Budget.  Through Hayward People’s Budget, residents across six geographic sectors will make decisions on how to allocate $50,000 to $69,000 per sector.
