Applications for service on any Commission or Task Force (Council's Appointed Officials) are valid for one year from the date of receipt and are a public record. Online application forms are located on the respective individual page, as well as information that describes duties, time commitments, and the number of vacancies.
In order to be eligible for appointment to any Commission or Task Force, a person shall be a qualified elector (registered voter) of the incorporated area of the City of Hayward.

Interested individuals can apply online by clicking on the specific commission or task force of interest below. Hard copy applications are also available from the Office of the City Clerk, 777 B Street, Fourth Floor, Hayward, California 94541, or by calling (510) 583-4400 for further information. The application submission deadline is Friday, July 5, 2019. Interviews with the City Council are scheduled for Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Qualified Keep Hayward Clean and Green Task Force applicants will be required to interview with the Task Force Subcommittee Panel on Friday, July 12, 2019.
