Commissions and Task Forces

Volunteer service on any City Commission or Task Force provides an opportunity for residents to participate in the City’s decision-making process by advising the City Council and staff on a wide range of important topics.

In order to be eligible for appointment to any Commission or Task Force, a person shall be a resident of the incorporated area of the City of Hayward.  And, pursuant to passage of Measure OO in November 2020, appointment to Commissions or Task Forces is open to all Hayward residents, regardless of whether they are registered or eligible to be registered to vote.
