Significant Incidents
Carrying a Concealed Firearm: On 12/08/2025 at 10:47AM, officers conducted a traffic stop at Orchard Ave and Joyce Street for vehicle code violations. The driver (Hayward resident) was discovered to be on probation with a search clause. The officers conducted a probation search and located a loaded firearm in the glove compartment. The driver was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm. Case 2025-70527
Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance: On 12/10/2025 at 9:04PM, officers stopped a vehicle on A St and Arbor Ave for traffic code violations. The passenger (Hayward resident) carrying a black bag exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Officers apprehended the passenger and recovered the black bag, which contained a loaded firearm. The passenger was searched and found to be in possession of a controlled substance. The driver (Non-Hayward Resident) fled the scene but was stopped (again) on Lansing Way, where he was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Case 2025-71137
Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to sell: On 12/11/2025 at 1:00AM, officers stopped a vehicle on the 300 block of Jackson Street for multiple vehicle violations. The driver (non-Hayward resident) was discovered to be on active probation with a search clause. After a search of the vehicle, officers found over 40 grams of methamphetamine, a large amount of US currency, and packaging for sales. The driver was arrested on multiple felony drug charges, including sales of controlled substances, and a probation violation. Case 2025-71169
Possession of a Stolen Vehicle: On 12/13/2025 at 11:44AM, officers were alerted via ALPR (Automated License Plate Reader) of a stolen vehicle from Sacramento traveling on Huntwood and Celia. Officers stopped the vehicle at Tennyson and Dixon, where the driver (non-Hayward resident) was arrested and the passenger (non-Hayward resident) was released. Case 2025-71612
