Significant Incidents

Assault with a Deadly Weapon: On 2/15/2021, at 5:26 PM, two suspects assaulted an elderly man in the area of W. A St. and Royal Ave. The victim received major injuries and the suspects were arrested a short distance away. (Report #2021-007966)

Robbery: On 2/16/2021, at 8:15 PM, officers respond to the 200 block of W. Jackson St. for report of a robbery. A man entered a business and took money. He fled prior to police arrival. (Report #2021-006641)

Reported Shooting: On 2/16/2021, at 9:25 PM, dispatch received calls of shootings in the following areas: Tampa Ave./Biscayne Ave., Tennyson Rd./Tampa Ave. and Evergreen St./Cascade St There were no reports of injury, property damage or physical evidence. (Report #2021-008222) 

Brandishing a Weapon:  On 2/17/2021, at 9:50 PM, the suspect vandalized the victim’s vehicle in the 23000 block of Ronald Ln. When the victim confronted the victim, the suspect pointed a firearm at her. The suspect fled and was not located. (Report #2021-008473)

Gun Recovery: On 2/18/2021, at 1:12 AM, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. Dispatch notified the car was wanted for a felony from another agency. During a search, a loaded handgun was found and the driver arrested. (Report #2021-008507)
