A few hours later, the suspect vehicle was stopped by Alameda County Sheriff’…, DUI, Criminal Threats, and Possession of a Concealed Firearm:, On 12/31/2025 at 03:25AM, officer stopped a vehicle at D St and High St for vehicle code violations. After contacting the driver, the officers initiated a DUI investigation and during the pat search, a firearm was located. The driver resisted arrest and attempted to flee in his vehicle but was taken into custody. A passenger was also taken into custody for resisting arrest. Case 2025-74937, Armed Robbery:, On 01/02/2026 at 2:42PM, a US postal worker was returning to his mailvan on the 2100 block of Thayer Ave when a subject wearing a ski mask approached him. The subject produced a handgun from his waistband and demanded the “skeleton” key. The postal worker said he did not have the key, so the suspect took the vehicle key fob (instead), ran to an awaiting vehicle and fled the scene.
