Lawyer in the Library:

Saturday, Sept. 18

The Lawyer in the Library program is a free legal information and referral program hosted by the Hayward Public Library and staffed by a volunteer lawyer. In a one-on-one telephone appointment, the lawyer can answer questions on most legal topics. If legal help is required, people are referred to other agencies.

Appointments usually run for about 10-15 minutes. Due to limited availability, we can only make one appointment per month per person or family.

To request an appointment, send your phone number and desired date to michelle.nogales@hayward-ca.gov or call (510) 881-7980. Please do not send any confidential information in your email. Library staff will get back to you within three business days.
