September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when your Hayward Public Library joins the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide to remind parents, caregivers and students that signing up for a library card is the first step on the path to academic achievement and lifelong learning.
Help us meet our goal of issuing 250 new library cards in September by applying for a library card or encouraging your family & friends to apply. We will be hosting weekly drawings for children, teens, and adults throughout the month.
Prizes include our specially designed unique tote bags and the grand prizes will be Kindles.
Complete an online Library card application.
Please come to the library during our open hours to pick up your card. If you are unable to come to the library, we will email your library card number in 2-4 business days, and will mail your card to your home address.
If you have questions, please call 510-881-7980 or email email@example.com
Hayward Public Library has a policy of open access to all materials and information sources. This means that we do not restrict any item in the collection or limit access to the Internet.
It is a parent’s right and responsibility to guide use by minors and ensure that his/her children use the library according to individual family beliefs. The Internet is a valuable resource for information, but some sites may not provide accurate information while others may, in your judgment, be inappropriate for your child.
