Officers utilized de-escalation techniques and the driver eventually surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident. (Report #2022-021080), Shooting, : On 04/19/2022, at 12:18 AM, officers responded to the report of a shooting near the 400 block of Shepherd Ave. Officers locate evidence of a shooting and one victim who suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect(s) are unknown and at large. (Report #2022-021363), Robbery, : On 04/19/2022, at 10:56 AM, the victim was approached outside near the 27000 block of Manon Ave by one suspect. The suspect used force and took the victim’s purse before fleeing the scene on foot. The suspect simulated having a handgun and fled the scene in a vehicle with the stolen items. (Report #2022-027124), Shooting:, On 05/21/2022, at 5:35 PM, officers responded to the 600 block of W. A St. regarding a shooting investigation, where the suspect had fired a handgun and punched the victim before fleeing the scene. The suspect was later located and taken into custody. No injuries related to the shooting were reported. (Report #2022-027957), Robbery, : On 05/21/2022, at 6:30 PM, three suspects approached the victim near the 27000 block of Leidig Ct. The victim received medical treatment at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. (Report #2022-028463), Home Invasion Robbery:, On 05/28/2022, at 8:34 AM, officers responded to the 1000 block of Terrace Ave regarding a home invasion robbery that occurred. The suspect fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival but was located a short distance later and was taken into custody.  (Report #2022-029330), Assault with a Deadly Weapon:, On 05/28/2022, at 8:45 AM, the victim and suspect got into an altercation near the 700 block of W. A St. During the argument, the suspect used a deadly weapon to assault the victim and fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local medical hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect exited the vehicle and attempted to hide from officers but was taken into custody a short time later. (Report #2022-040551), Firearm/Narcotics Recovery:, On 07/20/2022, at 4:30 PM, officers conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation near the intersection of Jackson St and Sycamore Ave. During the stop, suspected drugs were seen inside the car plain view. The driver was detained, and a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded firearm. The driver was arrested for various gun and drug charges. A search of the car revealed narcotics sales equipment and suspected narcotics, including suspected cocaine and over 750 pills believed to be fentanyl.
