HPD learned that Driver 1 unintentionally cut off Driver 2, which started a verbal altercation. The fight progressed when Driver 2 grabbed an axe from his vehicle and swung it at Driver 1 but missed. Driver 2 fled the scene prior to HPD’s arrival. Driver 1 sustained minor injuries. Case 2026-000768, Discharging a Firearm at an Inhabited Dwelling:, On 01/06/2026 at 6:44PM HPD responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Theil and Buckingham. Fifteen shell casings were located; no structural damage or injuries were reported. HPD investigating. Case 2026-001072, Discharging a Firearm at an Inhabited Dwelling:, On 01/06/2026 at 8:41PM, HPD responded to gun shots into a home on the 27500 block of Whitman St. Two shell casings and one projectile were located. No injuries were reported and HPD is investigating. Case 2026-001086, Discharging a Firearm at an Inhabited Dwelling:, On 01/06/2026 at 8:41PM, gun shots were reported on the 26600 block of Luvena Drive: HPD arrived and located one projectile that entered through the ceiling. No shell casings were located and no injuries reported. HPD investigating. Case 2026-001087, Discharging a Firearm at an Inhabited Dwelling:, On 01/082026 at 7:58PM, a caller reported a subject fired shots from a handgun inside of an apartment on the 28200 block of Lustig Court. Officers arrived and helped occupants from the 2nd floor evacuate from the apartment by utilizing a ladder. Negotiations to remove the subject were successful when he surrendered after approximately an hour.
