Compost Hub at the Hayward Community Garden
Background
Senate Bill 1383 requires cities to buy a set amount of products made from recycled organic waste each year. For most cities, including Hayward, this means buying compost or mulch.
To meet this requirement, City staff are working with the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (HARD) to create a compost hub. This site will allow Hayward residents to pick up free bulk compost or mulch throughout the year.
