Fatal Collision – Foothill Boulevard/B Street

HAYWARD, Calif., On Saturday, February 7, 2026, at approximately 06:40 a.m., officers responded to the report of a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian near the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and B street. 

Officers arrived and located all involved parties. 

The driver, a 56-year-old adult male and Hayward resident, was still on scene when officers arrived. He was cooperative and provided a statement regarding the incident. The driver’s identity is not being released at this time. 

The pedestrian, a white female adult, between the ages of 30-40 years old was located at the scene of the collision suffering from injuries related to the collision. Medical personnel responded and transported her to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. 

The identity of the pedestrian is currently being withheld pending notifications to next of kin and formal identification protocols by the Alameda County Coroner’s Office. 

It is not believed drugs or alcohol are a factor in this collision.
