The City of Hayward has spent more than $1 million to operate the free COVID-19 testing center to support the general health and safety of the community as well as local first responders and health care professionals. In addition, the City spent over $380,000 on Small Business Resiliency Grants.
Unfortunately, the high demand for these and other emergency services is greater than the City’s current resources. We are hoping that the community will bolster the City’s response and help those hardest hit by the pandemic as well as keep Hayward’s free testing available.
Donations are tax-deductible. Donate online or make checks payable to: “Hayward Relief Fund” and mail to: East Bay Community Foundation; Attn: Hayward Relief Fund; 200 Frank Ogawa Plaza; Oakland CA 94612.
Funds will be collected by the East Bay Community Foundation and managed by the City of Hayward. Donations will be used only for free testing or emergency support for high-need community members and small businesses.
We will regularly update this website to show how all emergency relief funds are being spent.
