"Our mission is to help break the cycle of intergenerational illiteracy in the Hayward Community by supporting the Literacy Plus Program for adults and Children."
The Hayward Literacy Plus Council was established in 1985 and is dedicated to improving the Literacy skills of the Hayward community by supporting the Library’s Literacy programs. Council members focus on spreading awareness of the programs, recruiting volunteers, and fundraising.
