Significant Incidents

Homicide: On 09/13/2020, at 9:56 PM, a shooting occurred in the area of Santa Clara St. and Jackson St. A man with gunshot wounds was located in a car and pronounced deceased by medical personnel.  (Report #2020-055408)

Robbery: On 09/14/2020, at 7:25 PM, a robbery occurred in the 28000 block of Hesperian Blvd. A woman was walking in a parking lot when approached by two juvenile suspects. One of the suspects grabbed the woman’s purse and dragged her to the ground before fleeing in a dark colored sedan. (Report #2020-055585)

Vehicle Theft/Burglary: On 09/16/2020, at 5:30 AM, a vehicle was stolen in the 28000 block of Mission Blvd. Shortly after a witness saw a man get out of the stolen car and began burglarizing vehicles in the 800 block Hancock St. Officers responded, located the man hiding in bushes nearby and placed the man under arrest. Shooting: On 09/17/2020, at 10:32 PM, there was a call of a shooting in the area of E. 10th St. and Jefferson St. Two bullet casings were located but no reports of injury or damage. (Report #2020-056272)

Robbery/Assault with a Deadly Weapon: On 09/18/20, at 4:24 PM, a shooting occurred in the area of Winton Ave. and Hesperian Blvd. After shopping at a store, a man was walking to his vehicle when three suspects walked up to him demanding his bag. When the man turned around, he was shot in the stomach. The suspects fled and the man was treated at a local hospital. (Report #2020-056420)

Assault with a Deadly Weapon: On 09/18/2020, at 1:08 PM, a man was located in the 300 block of Carson Dr. in need of medical assistance. Three suspects punched and hit the man with a baseball bat causing numerous injuries. The man was transported to a local hospital and the suspects fled prior to police arrival.  (Report #2020-056372)

Assault with a Deadly Weapon: On 09/19/2020, at 7:15 PM, two men were in a fight in the area of Huntwood Ave. and Whipple Rd. One man grabs a carpet knife, stabs the victim in the back and slices the victim’s face causing a laceration. The victim is transported to a local hospital and the suspect fled. (Report #2020-056740)
