CASE SYNOPSIS

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: On 09/27/2023 at 8:39 PM, officers responded to the report of a burglary in progress near the 20000 block of Skywest Dr. A perimeter was set, and the suspect walked out of the building and was taken into custody.  (Report #: 2023-055136) 

 

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: On 09/27/2023 at 10:36 PM, the victim was riding her bicycle near the intersection of E St and 5th St when she was approached by the suspect. The suspect used force and tried to take property from the victim but ran away as passersby began to intervene. The victim received medical treatment at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. (Report #: 2023-055151) 

 

RECOVERED FIREARM: On 10/06/2023 at 12:09 AM, officers conducted a vehicle stop near the 500 block of W. A St for an equipment violation. The driver pulled over but exited the car and ran away, throwing an object as he fled. Officers ran after the man and took him into custody. The thrown object was later determined to be a loaded handgun. (Report #: 2023-056897) 

 

RECOVERED FIREARM/DUI: On 10/07/2023 at 11:28 PM, officers responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle parked near the 2000 block of W. Winton Ave. Officers found the vehicle, which was occupied and had numerous occupied containers. The occupants were detained, and a loaded ghost gun was located on the passenger seat. The passenger was arrested for firearms related charges and the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence. (Report #: 2023-057350)
