Week #6 for Recruit Class 2016-1

Tara Reyes | May 3, 2016

The recruits completed the Engine Module last week.  During this time, the recruits were challenged with multiple “live fire” scenarios in the Burn Building.  As part of this exercise, they responded on an engine as if they were going to a real fire, secured a water supply, pulled a 1¾” live line, and then extinguished the fire.  In addition to utilizing the Burn Building, each recruit learned about and participated in extinguishing a car fire.  On the last day of the Engine Module, each recruit was evaluated and scored on all of the skill sets learned during this portion of the Academy.
