Significant Incidents

CARJACKING: On 03/05/2025 at 7:55 PM the male victim was making a delivery near the 3600 block of Schafer Rd when he was approached by a male subject carrying a weapon. The subject assaulted the victim with the weapon and ordered him out of the delivery vehicle. The subject fled in the victim's vehicle prior to officer contact. (Report #2025-012985)

VEHICLE RECOVERY: On 03/05/2025 at 9:33 PM, HPD Officers observed a vehicle obstructing the roadway near the intersection of Shepard Ave and Belvedere Ct. Officers contacted the driver who and conducted a record check of the vehicle identification number. The record check showed the vehicle was stolen. The driver was placed under arrest aby officers and transported to the Hayward Jail. (2025-012996)

CARJACKING: On 03/6/2025 at 8:05 PM, the male victim was pumping gas in his vehicle near the 300 block of Harder Rd when a male subject approached him with a weapon and demanded his belongings. The victim complied with the subjects demands and the subject entered the victim's vehicle and fled the area. The victim's vehicle is later recovered unoccupied. (Report #2025-013162)
