Want to represent Hayward on the AC Transit Board of Directors?
The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District is seeking applications from residents interested in being appointed to represent Hayward, San Leandro and neighboring unincorporated areas on the AC Transit Board of Directors.
The appointment would be to the vacated Ward 4 seat on the AC Transit Board of Directors to complete the elected term of former AC Transit Ward 4 Director Mark Williams, which expires the first Friday of December, Dec. 2.
To qualify, applicants must reside within the new boundaries of AC Transit Ward 4. The new boundaries are scheduled to be adopted by the Board on March 25. A general description and map of the proposed Ward 4 boundaries along with requirements for appointment to the Ward 4 seat are available here on the AC Transit website.
The application period for appointment opened March 1. The deadline by which to apply is noon March 30.
