The Keep Hayward Clean and Green Task Force will bring its program of neighborhood beautification and clean-up events to Barnes Court and the Jackson Street median in central Hayward starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 22.

Keep Hayward Clean and Green clean-up and beautification events are great opportunity to make a real difference, connect with neighbors, receive credit for community service hours, and learn about money- and planet-saving environmental sustainability programs.

Participants in the July 22 event will also be invited to visit the neighboring Hayward Animal Shelter, 16 Barnes Court, to meet dogs, cats and other pets in need of a new home.

All volunteers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a participating adult.  Ault supervision is not provided by the Task Force or the City of Hayward.

For volunteer registration and other information, go online here, or contact the Hayward Maintenance Services Department at (510) 881-7745 or by email at colleen.kamai@hayward-ca.gov.
