Homicide Investigation – 21000 block of Foothill Blvd
HAYWARD, Calif., On Wednesday, January 24, at about 3:25 p.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting near the 21000 block of Foothill Blvd.
Officers arrived on scene and located an unresponsive male, suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The victim’s identity is known but is being withheld at this time, pending notifications to next of kin.
The man believed to be responsible for the shooting was located at the scene and was taken into custody. The man’s name is not being released at this time.
Officers believe they have identified all involved parties and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
This is an active investigation, and more details will be released when they are available.
