Significant Incidents

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: On 01/16/2022, at 12:44 PM, officers responded to the area of 2nd St and Amaranth Loop and located an occupied stolen vehicle that had been found by the registered owner. Officers contacted the occupant, took him into custody, and released the vehicle to the registered owner. (Report #2022-002800)

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: On 01/17/2022, at 10:27 AM, officers respond to the 300 block of Williams Way regarding a package theft that just occurred. Officers located a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle involved in the package thefts and a vehicle stop was conducted. A record check revealed the vehicle to be stolen. The vehicle and stolen packages were both recovered, and the driver was arrested. (Report #2021-067500)

Attempted Carjacking: On 01/20/2022, at 6:26 AM, the victim was warming up his vehicle near the 2000 block of Arf Ave when he was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects assaulted the victim and attempted to take the victim’s vehicle. The victim struggled with the suspects and was able to grab his keys and run from the scene. Officers responded, located the suspects, and took them into custody for the incident. (Report #2022-003571)

Assault With a Deadly Weapon: On 01/20/2022, at 8:50 PM, the victim and suspect, who are friends, were consuming alcoholic beverages together near the 30000 block of Industrial Pkwy SW when an argument ensued. The suspect struck the victim in the head with a bottle, causing injury. Officers responded and arrested the suspect for the incident. (Report #2022-0037727)
