Significant Incidents

Shooting: On 01/30/2022, at 3:20 AM, officers responded to the 26000 block of Peterman Ave regarding the report of a shooting into a residence. Officers arrived on scene and located evidence that a shooting had taken place. No injuries were reported. (Report #2022-005629)

Recovered Stolen Vehicle/Suspected Narcotics for Sale/Catalytic Converter Theft: On 01/30/2022, at 1:44 PM, officers responded to an auto burglary in progress near the 31000 block of Wiegman Rd. The suspects fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival but were located inside a vehicle by officers a short time later. A record check of the vehicle revealed it to be stolen. The occupants were taken into custody, and an inventory of the vehicle revealed a large quantity of suspected narcotics and burglary tools. A canvass of the Wiegman Rd area revealed a catalytic converter that had been cut from the original vehicle being burglarized. (Report #2022-05699)

Carjacking: On 02/05/2022, at 7:35 AM, the victim was loading items into his vehicle while the engine was running near the 29000 block of Tampa Ave. The victim was approached by two suspects, one of which assaulted the victim. Both suspects got into the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. (Report #2022-006933)

Robbery: On 02/02/2022, at 4:28 PM, the victim walked out of a business near the 800 block of Southland Dr when he was approached by two suspects. The suspects brandished firearms and took property from the victim before they fled the scene in a vehicle. (Report #2022-0037727)
