Significant Incidents

COMMUNITY PROJECT: On 8/6/2025 at 7:00 AM The City of Hayward (COH) conducted a comprehensive street cleanup near Belvedere Court through the coordinated efforts of the COH Streets Division, Landscaping Services, Code Enforcement, and District Command. Several abandoned vehicles were towed, and abatement measures were implemented to address public nuisances, including debris removal, overgrown vegetation, and various code violations. (Report #2025-044848)

VEHICLE RECOVERY: On 8/8/2025 at 11:25 PM officers located a stolen vehicle near the intersection of Foothill Blvd and B St. An officer initiated a high-risk stop, and both the driver and front passenger were safely detained. The driver was arrested for vehicle theft and the passenger was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. (Report #2025-045479)
