The return of Hot Paw-gust Nights car show fundraiser and adoption event

August 9, 2022

Food on a car, a grey kitten, classic cars and a puppy

The Hayward Animal Shelter will host their annual Hot Paw-gust Nights car show fundraiser and animal adoption event for the first time since the pandemic on Saturday, Aug. 27.

All pet adoptions to qualified homes will be $20 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. To view pets available for adoption visit www.haywardanimals.org

In the spirit of the original Hot August Nights, the shelter will showcase an array of classic cars and trucks at 16 Barnes Ct., Hayward. There also will be live bands, food, raffles, activities for kids and a special guest appearance by Nate Branch, legendary 15-year veteran of the Harlem Globe trotters.

If you are interested in displaying your car to help support the shelter, fill out the online form here by Wednesday, Aug. 24. There is a suggested donation of $25 per entry/car.

All proceeds raised from this event (including the car registration fees) go to the Hayward Animal Shelter's Animal Medical and Spay/Neuter funds to support the shelter animals.
