Developers of two new Mission Boulevard residential communities are accepting applications this month for lotteries for a chance to buy one of 34 condominiums and townhomes being sold at below-market rates to moderate- and lower-income buyers.

Homes Built for America is presenting 20 income-restricted, below-market rate (BMR) condos for sale at its SoMi development on the north side of Mission Boulevard at W. Tennyson Road in South Hayward near the South Hayward BART Station.

Applications are being accepted through Aug. 19 for an Aug. 25 lottery for an opportunity to buy one of the first seven BMR units at SoMi.  SoMi BMR units are priced at $447,814 for a two-bedroom condo and $500,923 for three bedrooms.  For more information, go online here to the Homes Built for America SoMi BMR website or contact Barbara Sciorra of Homes Built for America at Barbara@BuiltForAmerica.com or (800) 219-0084.

Also this month, Meritage Homes is bringing to market 14 income-restricted BMR townhomes at its Mission Crossing development on the site of the former Ford automotive dealership at 25501 Mission Blvd.

Applications from moderate- and lower-income buyers are being accepted until Aug. 23 for a Sept. 6 lottery for an opportunity to buy one of Mission Crossing’s two- and four-bedroom BMR townhomes, which are priced at $477,416 and $575,311, respectively.  To apply to participate in the Mission Crossing BMR unit lottery, contact program administrator HouseKeys at 1-877-460-KEYS or https://www.housekeys8.com/.
