Cinco de Mayo Festival returns to downtown Hayward this Saturday
The Stack Extra
This Saturday, May 3, Hayward’s annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration – a music, dance and cultural extravaganza that residents look forward to every year – returns to the intersection of B and Main Streets.
The fun starts at 10 a.m. with musical and dance performances, including Aztec dancers, ballet folklorico, mariachi bands and a live DJ. In addition, there will be a car show, bicycles and pedal cars, arts and crafts, food and beverage vendors, and more fun for the whole family. Registration is $30 for the car show and $10 for the bicycle and pedal car display; participants have until tomorrow, April 30, to register.
The free, family-friendly event is hosted by La Alianza de Hayward and made possible by sponsors, including Kaiser Permanente, as well as the support of the City of Hayward, the Hayward Chamber of Commerce and many other businesses, community organizations and community leaders.
