National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week is a time we set aside to honor the hard work and dedication of animal control officers across the nation.
Our Animal Control Officers play a crucial role in keeping our communities safe, often by putting themselves in danger to catch stray or aggressive animals. Animal Control Officers also follow-up on and investigate animal cruelty and neglect cases, educate the public about responsible pet ownership, and enforce animal-related laws and regulations.
Our HPD Animal Control officers are passionate about their profession, and we are so lucky to have them. They are selfless, compassionate, and committed. They are invaluable.
