
Description
The Cricut Maker CXPL301 is a smart cutting and drawing machine that can cut and draw on over 300 materials including paper, fabric, matboard and leather. The Makerspace has Fine Point Blade and Rotary Blade which are suitable for cutting light and medium weight paper and fabric. The Makerspace has cutting mats with a maximum size of 12”x24”. The maximum cut depth of the Cricut Maker is 2.4 mm.

Required Forms and Tutorials
Before you use the Cricut Maker for the first time, you must complete:
- A Makerspace Registration Packet
- The online Makerspace Safety Orientation
- The online Smart Cutting Machines Safety Training
Software and File Creation
Projects for the Cricut Maker are created in Cricut Design Space:
- Downloadable to both Windows and Mac computers as well as Android and iOS mobile devices.
- Can import .JPEG, .PNG, .SVG, .DXF, .EPS file types.
- Has project files for purchase.
Acceptable Materials
The Cricut Maker can cut on a wide variety of materials. See Materials List for a list of Cricut approved materials. Please note that the Makerspace currently has a Fine Point Blade and Rotary Blade, be sure to choose a material that suits the available blades.
