Hayward Resident Featured in New National Ad Campaign for Meals on Wheels

July 29, 2016

HAYWARD - The City of Hayward provides access to a variety of supportive services related to aging and mobility. One such program is SOS Meals on Wheels, a local nonprofit, which cooks and delivers nutritious meals to frail, homebound seniors who are unable to purchase or prepare meals for themselves. SOS Meals on Wheel receives a grant from the Hayward Operated Paratransit (The HOP) program, which in turn is funded through Alameda County Measure B/BB sales tax dollars.

Lola Silvestri, a spry 94 year-old Hayward resident, is featured in a new national ad campaign for Meals on Wheels. Please view her story, and those of other Bay Area seniors, through this link.
