On January 17, 2023, Ian Tecson joins the City of Hayward as the Deputy Director of Human Resources. Prior to joining the City of Hayward, Tecson served as Human Resources Manager for the Alameda County Library since April 2020, interim since September 2018. Prior to that role, he served as Labor Relations Analyst for the County of Alameda since November 2016, where he provided strategic business partnership and consultation to countywide client departments on employee and labor relations matters.
Tecson has more than 15 years of progressive leadership, management, and supervisory experience fostering collaborative and service-focused environments in both private and public sectors. He is a graduate of California State University, East Bay, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with focus on human resources management and corporate management.
