The Hayward Police Department hosts a community academy where our residents can participate in a series of classes to enhance their knowledge of our department.

The academy is free and open to residents who live or work in Hayward. Anyone who is over 18 years old, a resident of Hayward or someone who works in the city may participate.

  • Domestic Violence
  • Megan’s Law
  • Youth & Family Service Bureau
  • School Resource Officers
  • SWAT
  • K9 Unit
