Council Homelessness-Housing Task Force

The Council Homelessness-Housing Task Force was established for a two-year period beginning in March 2019 through March 2021 to evaluate the efficacy and workload related to establishing it as a permanent Council Standing Committee and to meet on a quarterly basis during this period. In February of 2023 the City Council, through resolution, extended the Homelessness-Housing Task Force through March of 2024.


The Homelessness-Housing Task Force meets quarterly on the 1st Thursday (March, June, September, and December). Meetings are generally held at 6 p.m. at Hayward City Hall in Conference Room 2A, 777 B Street. Special meetings will be scheduled as determined necessary by the Committee or the City Manager.
