City of Hayward Departments & Divisions

Our municipal organization, led by City Manager Kelly McAdoo and Assistant City Manager Maria Hurtado, consists of 13 separate departments, which includes public safety departments such as police and fire. Together, under the guidance of accomplished department directors and with the support and mandate of the City Council, we do the City's work.

The Mayor and six Council members represent the residents of Hayward, review public policy, and adopt policies responsive to the community. The City Council meets the first, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers, 2nd Floor of 777 B Street, Hayward, CA 94541.
