East Oakland Community Project Crossroads Shelter

Referral Process: For information on how to get a referral, call (510) 532-3211. Mats (along with linens and pillows) are also available on a walk-up basis. Cannot signup prior to 4 p.m. Overnight shelter 5 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Eligibility: Adults only, 18+. Adult men and women. No pets.
Additional Information: No history of arson, no registered sex offenders. Able to conduct activities of daily living, and able to communicate verbally or in writing. Must comply with COVID testing; if tested positive for COVID, entry into the winter shelter is not allowed. First-come-first served for 10 mats. Need to have identification. Check-in before 5 p.m. Dinner served at 5 p.m.; Breakfast is 7 a.m. Individuals are required to return pillows and linens by 6am. Departure is after breakfast. Upon departure, individuals are required to take personal possessions with them – there is no storage for personal belongings. Disclaimer: if an individual is actively listed on the “red file” they are not allowed to enter the winter shelter. Staff will verify which individuals are red filed. Red file indicates violent behaviors or threats of violence, destruction of property, or other non-allowable acts.

Additional Information: Case management and housing navigation will be provided to those who are eligible. Hotel vouchers will be provided to vulnerable homeless seniors. Worker of the Day Monday through Fridays, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Coordinated Entry on drop-in basis. Housing Clinics on Mondays and Wednesdays (excluding holidays) 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Additional Information: Winter Warming services provided to individuals experiencing homelessness with priority given to such individuals over 65 or with chronic health conditions, with emergency shelter in hotel accommodations during the months in which inclement weather is anticipated. San Leandro Warming Shelter

Referral Process: Open 12 p.m. -8 p.m. every Tuesdays or when the weather is 40 degrees or 50% chance of rain. Will remain open on Tuesdays if the above weather criteria are met.
Eligibility: Unhoused (No pets. No alcohol. No drugs. No weapons allowed.)
Additional Information: Drop-in center every Tuesday from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Co-ed, men, and women over the age of 18. Dinner is served, and overnight stay, breakfast is served. No showers or laundry available. First-come, first-served basis for guests. Zero tolerance for weapons, drugs, alcohol, fighting, or hate speech of any kind.
CityServe of the Tri-Valley Winter Shelter Relief Program
Location: 3311 Pacific Ave., Livermore, CA. Not a winter shelter, but will provide hotel nights with care coordination.

Referral Process: Come into the office for a Care Session to ensure care plan through care coordination. Office hours are Mondays – Fridays 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; closed 12 p.m. -1 p.m.
Additional Information: Must be HUD Homeless individuals that are medically fragile; older adults 60+; or families with children that are under the age of 18. Must be homeless in the Tri-Valley – Livermore, Dublin, and Pleasanton areas. Participants will need to be screened and enrolled in Care Coordination prior to receiving hotel night stays. The number of hotel night(s) provided is weather enacted – consecutive rain days or where inclement weather – when the temperature drops below 40 degrees.
Village of Love Day Center-Overnight Program

Referral Process: Come to the Center between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and register for a place to sleep.
Eligibility: Adult men and women preferred. Child(ren) may be accommodated in a separate room if available. Need to be unhoused in the City of Alameda.
Additional Information: Operation hours are 23/7. Closed from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Beds are available on a walk-in first-come first-served basis; for night shelter, arrive by 7pm to register for a cot. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided. Intake occurs during the Day Center hours – 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the same location.
City of Alameda Warming Shelter

Additional Information: First come first serve. Guests must complete, intake process. For evenings or weekends, call 2-1-1 to access resources county-wide. Shelter is open nightly from 6 p.m. - 7 a.m. Overnight guests receive Dinner at 7:00 p.m., Breakfast at 6:30 a.m., showers are available on Thursdays from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. for shelter guests only; and Sundays from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. for the public. Limited onsite storage of belongings while showering is provided. Once approved and screened pet is welcome per guest. Space is limited.

For non-permanent guests arrive 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. for raffle for one-night bed Monday – Sunday.
Eligibility: Adults 18+; Guests must be able to care for themselves (i.e. transfer, toilet, eat, get up from the floor, and dress); Pets okay if they are on leash or in a crate.
Additional Information: Please only enter on the Grove Way entrance. Doors open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. for everyone. However, 6:30 p.m., dinner is served. Check-in ends at 8 p.m. Bagged breakfast served. Must be off property by 7 a.m. There is the possibility to park and live in your car on site but need prior registration. St. Vincent de Paul Community Center

Referral Process: Lineup-up time starts at 5pm; doors open at 6pm. Individuals will be searched for drugs, alcohol, weapons, and marijuana – these are not allowed inside.
Eligibility: Adults and couples over 18 years of age. No children.
Additional Information: Open from 6 p.m. - 8 a.m. Doors closes at 9 p.m. with no in-and-out privileges. Walkin only on a first come-first-served basis. Please call (510) 638-7600 for more information. Community Center is open for showers (come at 9 a.m. for registration), meals, laundry, Tuesday-Saturday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.; and 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. (showers must finish at 2 p.m.). Clothing closet from 9 a.m-11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays only for adults. Individuals must follow rules, regulations, and policies. Individuals must be ambulatory – does not require any assistance from staff. Must be free of flu, cold, and submit to a COVID test and test negative prior to entry. Always wear face masks except for when eating, drinking, or sleeping. No pets – including service or emotional support animals. Individuals are allowed only two (2) items that are small to fit under cot that is 8 inches from the floor. Do not allow shopping carts. No blankets, towels, linens, pillows – these items are provided by the shelter. Snacks, Dinner, and breakfast are served. All guests must leave by 8 a.m. and cannot stay in front of the shelter. Disclaimer: if a guest has been exited from the shelter in the past, they will not be allowed entry into the shelter.
