Economic Development Committee (CEDC) — Advises Council on factors affecting businesses in Hayward and the economic health of the community, including but not limited to business retention, business attraction, business development and design, growth of and activity in the Downtown and other business areas, and other factors affecting economic growth and vitality of Hayward.

Meeting Agendas & Reports Economic Development Division

Infrastructure & Airport Committee (CIAC) — Facilitates an in-depth review of the Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) plan, the unfunded needs and the eventual development of a policy framework for Council consideration during the budget development process. As on Jan. 29, 2019 the CIC will also review emerging technologies, consider technological infrastructure initiatives and provide guidance on issues involving information technology.

Sustainability Committee (CSC) — Reviews and considers policy recommendations related to: alternative energy generation and conservation, including commercial and residential types of energy sources and uses; green building policies for new developments; programs to generally improve green building renovation throughout the City; and productive steps to reduce global warning on the local level.

Keep Hayward Clean & Green Task Force (KHCG) — Helps address issues impacting community appearance. Its mission is to preserve the environment and enhance the visual appearance of the City of Hayward through the joint efforts of individuals, volunteer groups, businesses and municipal resources.

Current Intergovernmental Agency Assignments: 

Bay Area Water Supply & Conservation Agency (BAWSCA) — Represent the needs of the cities, water districts and private utilities (wholesale customers) that depend on the regional water system. BAWSCA provides the ability for the customers of the regional system to work with San Francisco on an equal basis to ensure the water system gets fixed, and to collectively and efficiently meet local responsibilities.

Meeting Agendas & Reports Water Reliability Reports

East Bay Dischargers Joint Powers Authority (EBDA) — From East Bay homes and businesses, sewage flows to our Member Agencies’ wastewater treatment plants. Following treatment, EBDA pumps the clean water from the plants to a dechlorination facility, where chlorine is removed prior to discharge. The water then flows through a seven-mile outfall into the deepest part of San Francisco Bay. 

Meetings are typically held on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 4:00 p.m. in the Board Room at Oro Loma Sanitary District, 2655 Grant Ave., San Leandro.
