City of Hayward seeks applicants for commissions and task force

HAYWARD, Calif., April 21, 2017—The City of Hayward announced today it is seeking Hayward residents interested in serving on various advisory and governing commissions, and task force.

Prospective applicants must be registered voters residing within Hayward city limits.  Interested individuals may apply online at www.hayward-ca.gov/serve, or by completing an application available at the Office of the City Clerk, 777 B Street, Hayward, CA, 94541, or by calling (510) 583-4400.

The City currently has vacancies or foresees potential vacancies on the following bodies:

  • Community Services Commission (four vacancies and four potential vacancies)
  • Keep Hayward Clean and Green Task Force (three vacancies)
  • Library Commission (two potential vacancies)

Appointees to the Community Services Commission are required to file with the City Clerk a California Fair Political Practices Commission Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700).

The application submission deadline is Monday, July 10, 2017, 5:00 p.m. Interviews with the City Council are scheduled for Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

Qualified Keep Hayward Clean and Green Task Force applicants will be required to interview with the Task Force Subcommittee Panel on Monday, July 17, 2017.
