Holiday closures and city service changes planned
Hayward is planning the closure of non-emergency services and certain service adjustments on Veterans Day and during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
All non-emergency services and Hayward City Hall will be closed on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, and Nov. 23 through Nov. 27 and Dec. 21 through Jan. 1.
The Hayward COVID-19 Testing Center at 1401 Golf Course Road, which operates weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be closed Nov. 11, Nov. 26, Nov. 27, Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
The weekly Hayward No-Contact Food Distribution, which normally takes place at 11 a.m. on Thursdays at Chabot College, will instead take place at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 24, during the week of Thanksgiving, and at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 22, during the week of Christmas.
No street sweeping will take place on the following dates—with service resuming on each street’s next scheduled service day: Nov. 11, Nov. 26, Nov. 27, Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. For changes to Hayward Public Library to-go services, visit the public library website.
