Significant Incidents

Robbery: On 10/05/2025 at 4:06PM, a juvenile victim was walking home from a store at Tennyson Rd and E. 10th St with food and drinks in a bag that he just purchased. Two juvenile males confronted the victim by threatening him with a knife and then stole the bagged items. The two subjects were located on Whitman Rd in possession of the stolen items. The victim identified the subjects and the knife used to threaten him. Both subjects were arrested.  2025-57699

Carrying Concealed Firearm in a Vehicle and Probation Violation: On 10/07/2025 at 12:20AM, an officer stopped a vehicle near Mission Blvd and Hancock St for traffic code violations. During the traffic stop, the subject (a Hayward resident) was found to be on searchable probation. Pursuant to a consensual and probation search, a firearm was recovered from the vehicle. The subject was arrested for firearm possession and probation violation. Case 2025-57971

Attempted Assault with a Deadly (Vehicle): On 10/07/2025 at 01:37AM, an on-duty security guard from the 3800 block of Bay Center Drive called the Hayward Fire Department for a subject who was unresponsive in his vehicle. Once HFD arrived, they determined the subject did not require medical attention. Afterwards, the subject became angry at the security guard for calling HFD and tried numerous times to ram his vehicle into the security guard’s vehicle. After a few minutes, the subject fled the scene and was stopped by HPD near Breakwater Road where he was arrested. 2025-57979

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (knife): On 10/09/2025 at 01:07AM, officers were called to the 700 block of Harder Road for a report of a subject being pinned down by others. The subject (an unhoused Hayward person) confronted a couple in the parking lot for an unknown reason, and the victims told him to leave them alone. The subject produces a knife and attempts to stab one of the victims, however it does not penetrate his clothing. Police arrive and arrest the subject for the assault with the knife. 2025-58393
