Hayward City Council to Consider a Community Task Force to Update the Hayward Anti-Discrimination Action Plan

Brianne Elizarrey | January 13, 2017

On Tuesday, January 17, 2017, the Hayward City Council will consider the formation of a Community Task Force whose focus will be to update the Hayward Anti-Discrimination Action Plan that was originally adopted in 1992.

This is in part a response to many Hayward community members who have recently contacted City Officials seeking assurances that the City of Hayward will support all of its residents’ civil and human rights, and continue to foster and celebrate the diversity of people who make-up the Hayward community.

For a complete copy of the staff report and associated attachments, including a copy of the original Anti-Discrimination Action Plan, please see Agenda Item No. 10 under Legislative Business on the City Council Agenda for January 17, 2017

This public meeting is an opportunity to share your experience, insights, and opinions.  All are encouraged to attend and participate.
