Compost is a nutrient-rich soil amendment made of decomposed organic matter. It can improve moisture retention in soil, promote plant growth, and sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The City of Hayward is pleased to give away bags of compost to Hayward households as part of the City’s Franchise Agreement with Waste Management of Alameda County. The compost WM EarthCare Homegrown Compost™ is made in part from food scraps and yard trimmings collected from Bay Area residents. It carries the industry’s seal for excellence. Learn more at www.wmearthcare.com.
All Hayward households and multi-family property managers can pickup four one-cubic-foot bags of Compost WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!
