Armando Quintero was born and raised in Hayward and is a proud graduate of Tennyson High School. He began his career in the trades as an apprentice carpenter in 2007. In 2009, he took on a temporary role with the City of Union City, where he discovered a passion for public service and a desire to build a career in local government—especially in the community that shaped him.

In 2012, Armando joined the City of Hayward as a laborer in the Landscape Division. Just six months later, he was promoted to Maintenance Worker in the Streets Division. His dedication and leadership earned him another promotion in 2015 to Maintenance Lead in the Traffic Division. In 2023, Armando was promoted to Street Maintenance Supervisor.

To strengthen his leadership skills and better serve his team and community, Armando completed the Alameda County Leadership Academy, a program focused on developing effective, forward-thinking public sector leaders.

Coming from a hardworking family, Armando takes great pride in his work and his team. He is deeply committed to keeping Hayward’s streets clean, safe, and well-maintained for all residents. Armando is married and a proud father of three. In his free time, he enjoys camping, barbecuing, and relaxing with his family.

"Serving the community that raised me is not just a job—it's a responsibility and an honor." – Armando Quintero
