City of Hayward holiday business closure and service changes

The City of Hayward will hold a series of cost-saving seasonal closures of business offices and temporary cessations of non-essential municipal services during the winter holidays.
Hayward City Hall and the Hayward Public Library branches will close and nonessential municipal services will be paused during the Christmas and New Year holidays from Friday, Dec. 23 through Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
During the closures, no street-sweeping will take place from Friday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, with service resuming on each street’s next scheduled service day starting on Tuesday, Jan. 3. For business involving permits and the Permit Center, visit www.hayward-ca.gov/services/permit-center to use Hayward’s new online permitting system or email e-permits@hayward-ca.gov. Online Library services and e-resources will continue to be available 24/7 at www.hayward-ca.gov/public-library.
