City Hall and Nonessential Services Closure: Friday, Jun. 19, 2026
Hayward City Hall will be closed, and nonessential municipal services will be paused Friday, Jun. 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth. City Hall will reopen and municipal services will be restored to their regular schedule, Monday, Jun. 22. Specific information about departments, programs, and services during this period is provided below: Street Sweeping: No street-sweeping or citation enforcement will occur during the closure. Street-sweeping will resume its regular schedule the day following the closures. Review the schedule here. Hayward Public Library: Both branches will be closed. Online check-outs of books, movies, and more are available via the digital library here
