Enki library - Califa, a not-for-profit membership cooperative serving libraries in California, and Contra Costa County Library partnered to co-develop this open source eBook Network, shared by, and accessible to multiple library systems in California. Enki includes ebooks from smaller and independent publishers in formats that work with most e-readers, with the exception of Kindle.

OneClickDigital - Dowloadable audiobooks for portable media players, including iPods.

EBSCO - Free access from any Internet-enabled computer to books on computers, business, resumes and careers, travel, science projects, Cliffs Notes, and more. Log in with your library card number - no need to create an account.

Ebsco Special Collections

eBook/eAudiobook Checkout Information

  • Checkout Limits: Most services allow you to check out 10 titles at a time. Some eBooks are read online and do not require checkout.

  • Loan Period: 21 days, unless you choose a shorter checkout time.

  • Renewals: Most services allow renewal or re-checkout if there are no holds.

  • Holds: can be placed on all digital content titles that can be checked out.

  • Early Returns: Many services allow early returns. Look for a "Return" button in the app or website.

  • Digital Account Information: log in to your OverDrive, enki, OneClickDigital or EbscoHost account to see the status of your digital check-outs.

  • Fines: There are NO fines for digital content and the title is returned automatically.

OpenLibrary is a project of the Internet Archive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that was founded provide permanent access to historical collections that exist in digital format.
