Skywest Property Reuse Project:

The Skywest Golf Course was closed in September 2020 after nearly 60 years of operation, and this has presented an opportunity to redevelop the 126-acre site in a new way that will benefit Hayward Executive Airport, the surrounding community and the City of Hayward generally.

As a first step in this process, the City of Hayward is conducting a series of visioning workshops to receive input from stakeholders about potential future uses of the property.  A facilitator will guide the conversation to evaluate present conditions and receive ideas for change and improvement.

The workshops were held virtually on July 27, August 10, and August 12, 2021.  Please go to social pinpoint for more information and the latest updates.  Comments and suggestions about the project can also be added here.
