Hayward Executive Airport COVID-19 Response
Effective March 16, 2020, Alameda County Health Officer Dr. Erica Pan joined six other Bay Area public health jurisdictions to issue an order for all Alameda County residents to shelter in place to slow the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Hayward Executive Airport remains open 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. In addition:
- The FAA Hayward Air Traffic Control Tower is open
The airport administrative and maintenance staffs are at a minimum
The airport’s two fixed base operators, APP Jet Center and Meridian Hayward, are open
Many of the other 38 commercial tenants remain open – however, please call ahead to confirm that regular business hours are in affect
The airport administration building will be closed to the general public through Sunday, May 3, 2020. Please note:
- The airside door will remain open to tenants 7-days a week, from 8:00 am to 9:30 pm, to provide access to the restrooms, the flight planning room, and the pilot lounge
The meeting room will remain closed and all meetings are cancelled
Extra steps will be taken to disinfect the building
The City’s administrative office is not accessible, but administrative staff on duty can be reached by landline telephone located on a podium just outside of the interior office door. You may also contact the staff by phone at (510) 293-8678.
Rental payments may be placed in the lockbox located near the main exterior entrance to the administration building or sent by U.S. Mail.
